Importance of Safe Sex
Before you do the deed without any protection, you better ask yourself first if you are doing the right thing. Whether you like it or not, in a way, you are responsible for the welfare of your partner and vice versa and these include bedside instances. All actions either have consequences or rewards so before you get intimate, think first how this activity will affect you 10 to 20 years from now. A lot of people nowadays have fallen prey to their desires and are paying for the ultimate price – their lives. So before you think about skipping that little rubber latex, it would be high time to ask yourself first if something really good will come out of this endeavour aside from the feeling of satiation. If you aren’t sure, then there are plenty of ways to get cosy with your companion. After all, you never know what a little creativity can bring about for the two of you.
Another reason to be cautious during love making is because you never know what type of illness lurks in murky waters. There are a variety of them and there are some that attack not just one but two vital organs. Syphilis, chlamydia, granuloma, and gonorrhoea are just some of the few that are still treatable. However, if they are not detected during their early stages, they could still be life-threatening because they leave the immune system vulnerable to other viruses and bacteria. There are also more crucial diseases that once contracted will need to be dealt; they are Hepatitis B, HPV (Human Papilloma Virus), Herpes, and, the mother of them all, HIV, which can lead to AIDS.
But let’s say that you and your partner get tested and you are both in the clear for these diseases. If you don’t plan on having children any time soon, then you should still practice safe sex methods. There have been a lot of individuals (teenagers especially) who have matured too early because they had kids very early on. This is also applicable to couples with families who no longer want to add new members to their family. In fact, there are some birth control techniques that have been approved by the government for better population control.
It is all right to express your love through getting intimate; by practising protected sex, you are also taking care of your partner.
